Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) are major disease burden that affects Communities with a steady fast-growing death rate. Many of the risk factors are related to lifestyle and can be controlled. These include Cancers, Cardiovascular diseases, Chronic Respiratory Diseases, and Diabetes.
Various strategies of interventions have been made globally to ensure there are remarkable steps and commitments to reduce their burden. The age pattern, proportionality to women and men are both high, and the highest risk of dying from NCDs was observed in low-income and middle-income countries especially in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Prime Health Initiative Tanzania (PHIT) is dedicated alongside the National and Global commitment to accelerate the progress towards the prevention and control of NCDs. PHIT is focusing and target in reaching the Communities with various interventions which may stand as control and standard measures towards the reduction of NCDs;

Our focusing and target includes:
- Health education to the Community both scientifically and evidence-based approaches towards the overall health improvement.
- Advocacy and strengthening towards awareness of national policies, plans, and strategies on Community Health, prevention methods, and treatment as per national guidelines.
- Improvise on the health-seeking behaviors that may facilitate access to efficacious and high-quality preventive and curative care.
- Support and work out in the multisectoral approach in collaborative initiatives towards the reduction of NCDs.
- Participation in the provision of knowledge with innovated solutions that are cost-effective and digitalized in embarking NCDs; prevention, care, and reporting.
